We had a wonderful stay at the Ferry Boat Inn. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and friendliness. The food was absolutely delicious and exceeded our expectations. Our room offered great value for money and was comfortable and had a direct view to the harbour. We would happily return and can fully recommend the Ferry Boat Inn to anyone visiting Ullapool.

This place is wonderful! It’s so unassuming but we were blown away by the service from Karen & Derek as soon as we walked in and the way they were so accommodating especially when we have two large black labs. They made sure we were more than welcome and gave us a seat that made sure not only were we comfortable, but also other customers weren’t put out by us and the dogs. We were then equally blown away by the food, Karen’s recommendations were spot on and we will struggle to look past The Ferry Boat Inn in the future. Thank you for a beautiful meal and a wonderful evening

The dearest little room overlooking the bay. Drinks outside while people watching. As for dinner! They must have had a Michelin chef hiding in the kitchen because in our over 2 weeks in Scotland, this has been the best meal. Seafood chowder, crab soufflé, mussels in two sauce options, hand cut chips and homemade bread. The service was warm and friendly and very efficient. We could not be happier to recommend this inn. Don’t miss it!

Stopped here on our NC 500 road trip. Price wasnt bad at just under £100 and when we arrived we found out it also included a continental breakfast that it didnt say about on the booking. There is free street parking from 5pm until 10am and the hotel has free WiFi. The lady host was excellent and the first hotel where the host showed you to the room and gave a "tour" of the room which was a nice touch. The room was nice and warm enough with plenty of plugs abd bed side lights and USB sockets. If you want more darkness though you need to put a towel at the bottom of the door to stop the corridor light getting through. The hotel also has a bar and had live music on (Thurs night). The food was very nice but the menu wasnt particular big and very seafood based. The barman was very friendly and chatty which was also nice. When the bar here closes at 11pm, their sister bar on the next street is open until midnight. Breakfast was nice and had a lovely view of the harbour and hills and again the lady host was very gracious. You can spend extra for a cooked breakfast but it us a tad pricey. Overall a very nice hotel and i would recommend staying here.

Lovely looking pub on the front in Ullapool. I’d driven a few hours and parked up in the town hoping for some light refreshment before having an early night. Unfortunately the woman behind the bar refused to serve me as I’d “had enough l.” I hadn’t had a drink at that point so I suspect she didn’t like the look or sound of me. Either that or wasn’t happy I’d only requested a half of ale. It was a bit puzzling and I felt a bit of a fool In front of the other customers. I took it on the chin and left without any further fuss. It’s fair enough as it’s their right who they serve. I just felt she was a bit ingenuous with her reasoning. As you can see from my hundreds of pub reviews, I’m really no bother. A shame as it was the pub I was most looking forward to sitting in. Anyway it’s a pub and it was open so gets the 5 star treatment from me I did manage to get in two other pubs and had a half in each of them where I was made to feel much more welcome so the journey wasn’t wasted!

I only went in for an evening meal and wasn’t staying. However, the food and service were excellent. It seems pricey but it was all homemade and worth every penny. I haven’t had a meal as good in a long time.

The place is excellent, and the service was welcoming and very helpful. It’s also very conveniently located, and the prices are affordable. The morning view is stunning. We were very happy to stay here with our family during our road trip
